China began to inspect imported diapers

The State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has decided that China will start inspection and quarantine of imported diapers, facial tissues, napkins and other sanitary items that can be used at will from January 1, 2006. According to the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the types of daily necessities for inspection and quarantine include toilet paper, paper handkerchiefs, sanitary napkins, paper clothing, paper sheets, etc. Starting from this year, the safety, hygiene, appearance and packaging of the above imported goods must comply with the hygiene standards set by the government. Those items that do not meet the standards are not allowed to be imported, sold and used. Customs officials will handle import procedures and conduct inspection and quarantine when these goods are declared.
