Commonly used calculation methods for non-woven fabric weight

Non-woven fabrics also have their own thickness and weight measurement methods. Generally, the thickness is calculated in millimeters and the weight is calculated in kilograms or tons. Let us look at the detailed measurement methods of non-woven thickness and weight.

Any object has a weight, just like the non-woven fabric we are talking about today, so how to calculate the weight of the non-woven fabric?

In the calculation of the weight and weight of non-woven fabrics, 4 units are commonly used, one is yard, English yard, abbreviated Y; ,Four is millimeter, abbreviated as mm.

1. Length

In the specifications, the length of the code and the meter are both calculated, but there is a particular emphasis here. This concept is also commonly used to distinguish between experts and non-experts. Since non-woven fabrics are all rolled by roll, the height of the roll is called the width. Expressed in units of meters, the common specifications are generally 2.40 meters, 1.60 meters, and 3.2 meters.

2. Weight and thickness

Since there are length and width, is there a unit of thickness? Yes, yes, gram is used to calculate the thickness, and gram refers to the square gram weight, that is, g/m^2. Why not use millimeters? Facts There are also millimeters in the above, but they are used less. This is an industry rule. In fact, the square weight can be equal to the millimeter in thickness, because the weight of non-woven fabrics is between 10g/㎡~320g/㎡.

3. Hardness (feel)/gloss

At present, there are very few non-woven fabric hardness test equipment in the market, and the test is usually based on the feel/gloss.

Fourth, the tensile parameters of non-woven fabrics.

Non-woven fabrics have vertical and horizontal tension parameters. If they are formed by irregular drawing, pressing and melt-blowning, the vertical and horizontal tensions are not much different.

Under the gravity of the earth, weight and mass are equivalent, but the unit of measurement is different. The weight of a substance with a mass of 1 kg when subjected to an external force of 9.8 Newtons is called 1 kg. Generally, a unit of mass is often used instead of weight, which is implicitly multiplied by the acceleration of gravity. In China, Jin and Liang were used as the unit of weight. Pounds, ounces, carats, etc. are also used as weight units.

Commonly used mass units are: microgram (ug), milligram (mg), gram (g), kilogram (kg), ton (t), etc.
