Exporting to the Chinese market has become one of the key strategies of Japanese non-woven fabric manufacturers

The roll value of non-woven products that Japanese manufacturers wanted to export to the Chinese market in 2015 was almost twice the average value of exports to the United States, according to a report by Prevention Intelligence. In 2015, Japan’s non-woven fabric exports to the United States reached 3.282 billion yuan ($88.5 million), but exports to the Chinese market doubled to 6.686 billion yen, even though exports to the Chinese market were relatively low. The overall information is very clear. China provides a market for the production of high value-added products in Japan. Japanese exporters used to provide products to the US market and later expanded to the European market. Chinese consumers demand the addition of high-performance nylon spunmelt non-woven materials, especially those made in Japan. On the contrary, the United States mainly imports low-value polypropylene and polyester materials, which are mainly used in the health care sector. The export of Japanese high-value-added products to China is currently one of the key strategies of most major Japanese non-woven fabric manufacturers.
