Is it better to choose thick needle-punched non-woven fabric?

by:Sunshine     2021-03-11
The thickness of the non-woven fabric is related to weight and strength, but the difference in structure does not mean that the increase in thickness can increase the barrier of microorganisms. For example, using a thickened non-woven fabric to increase the weight of its spunbond layer will not effectively bring about its anti-bacterial performance. Only when the pore size of the key filter layer can effectively filter the intrusion of microorganisms and dust, its resistance Bacteria performance will improve. Increasing the thickness will only affect the air permeability of the packaging material, thereby increasing the probability of wet packs. Since the non-woven fabric is a non-woven fabric, it is just a fiber web structure formed by the orientation or random arrangement of short fibers, which is then shaped by mechanical or thermal bonding or chemical methods, so the sticky scale of the clothes cannot be drawn out of the thread. It breaks the traditional textile principle, and has the advantages of multiple sources of raw materials, high output, low cost, fast production speed, short process flow, and wide application. In clinical use, the non-woven fabric will be damaged after sterilization. This damage is mainly due to the shrinkage of microscopic fine plastic fibers after high-temperature sterilization of the non-woven fabric, which is often the result of sterilization in use. Non-woven fabrics become more brittle than before sterilization. It seems that applying too much force or unreasonable picking and placing methods to it during use will cause destructive damage to packaging materials. In addition, the use of burrs on the edges and sharper instruments can also cause damage to the non-woven fabric. Under this circumstance, it is recommended that the clinic should handle the packaging with care, with proper elasticity, and use the double-layer packaging recommended by the specification, which will effectively reduce the probability of damage. If the problem of damage is solved only by increasing the thickness of the non-woven fabric, in addition to ensuring the anti-bacterial performance, it is also necessary to closely observe the probability of wet packs. In short, the thicker the non-woven fabric is, the better. Under the premise of ensuring the antibacterial performance and tensile strength, the wet-packing phenomenon of materials with good air permeability will be reduced. Do you know how to choose?
