In this year's index, a world-class exhibition of nonwovens, from 8 to April 11 in Geneva, Switzerland, Oerlikon Neumag will showcase plants and technologies for the production of high-quality nonwovens for sanitary and technical applications. This is the first time that the new staple fiber factory Staple Lixin 1000 will be launched at booth 2314 in Hall 2. Staple force new 1000-compact and economical, the compact plant is specially laid for the economical production of short fibers in small batches, which is necessary to produce 15 tons of carded nonwovens per day. According to the company, the binding force is not only an impressive low initial investment, compact structure, but also energy costs are significantly reduced by a dry drawing process instead of steam and water baths. 'The binding force S 1000 is aimed at downstream integrators, who want to produce fiber internally in their products in the future, enabling the nonwoven fabric manufacturer to produce and further develop his high-end products, but does not disclose the know-how and no quality fluctuations', explained Lai Nastraub, Vice President of Product Management Oerlikon Manmade Fibers. Oerlikon Neumag has a comprehensive product portfolio of nonwoven technology, from melt-spun spunbond (spunbond and meltblown) to airlaid nonwovens (dry-laid paper). Application areas include special-purpose technologies such as filtration, roofing, geotextiles and automobiles, as well as sanitary applications. Spunbond technology in a rapidly growing market will also be on the agenda. Oerlikon Neumag provides a complete process for the manufacture of asphalt roofing membranes from polymer chips to roll products, substrates, membranes and geotextiles. The combination of efficiency and productivity in the one-step spunbond technology reduces production costs by 20%. More than 30,000 tons of non-woven fabric technology was produced last year and the demand is still increasing, especially in emerging countries. Thinner, lighter, high-efficiency materials, produced by spunbond technology, currently specify the trend. Meltblown nonwoven technology-stand-alone or upgrade Oerlikon Neumag's meltblown technology means that cost-effective production of high-quality meltblown and SMS (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond) products. Stand-alone and BICO melt blown plants produce non-woven fabrics suitable for various filtration, insulation and adsorbent applications. The company's meltblown technology has applied for the plug-and-production' installation of a large number of existing and new external SXS plants in medical and sanitary products. The solution is designed to enable cost-effective upgrades of new or existing spunbond plants and provide nonwoven fabric manufacturers to enter the market with high quality requirements. Dust-free paper-Oerlikon Neumag's airlaid process, forming heads and core sleeves for more homogeneous and thin nonwovens are the standard for the production of extremely thin airlaid nonwovens. The high uniformity and uniform net structure make the production of high quality, light airlaid nonwovens have economically attractive production speed and plant throughput. 'With the newly formed head, we can not only produce very light airlaid materials, but also combine the full utilization of the factory capacity of non-woven fabrics while saving raw materials,' the company said.
