Using melt blown technology to overcome new developments in the industry of nanofiber research technology

by:Sunshine     2021-03-13
Foreword: Melt blown technology is an important method for mass production of ultrafine fibers. The principle is that the polymer material is sprayed through a spinneret, and then further stretched under high temperature and high-speed airflow to form ultra-fine fibers. The application of microfibers in meltblown nonwovens is unmatched by other products produced by a single nonwoven technology. Various raw materials that can be continuously used for melt spraying. The rapid development of melt blown nonwoven technology has promoted the development of the melt blown nonwoven industry. Due to its small diameter, large specific surface area and small holes in the fiber web, meltblown nonwoven products have excellent particle trapping, particle trapping and thermal insulation properties. It also has unusual capillary action and breathability (water and blood will not penetrate, but steam will). For this reason, the product is also widely used as filter materials, thermal conductive materials, sanitary materials, and medical materials. Meltblown nonwoven technology originated in the early 1950s. The U.S. Naval Laboratory melts polyamide fibers into a special spinneret and extrudes them. At the same time, high-speed hot air is used to stretch the polymer melt into a thin stream to produce ultra-fine polyamide fiber non-woven fabric. , Entering the stage of industry-university-research cooperation and development. According to the priority country information, an analysis of the countries/regions where meltblown technology patents are located (Figure 2) shows that the number of US patents accounts for 47% of all patents, occupying an absolute leading position. Japan ranks second with 22%. Melt-woven fabrics, fibers less than 5 meters in diameter, are the prototype of modern melt-blown non-woven fabrics. In the early 1990s, when the United States and Japan had a large number of patents, China began to apply for related patents. When meltblown technology entered the research boom, the number of patents in China began to grow rapidly. It can be seen that China is relatively backward in melt blown technology, but in recent years, China's melt blown technology has also been developing rapidly. Conclusion: With the rapid development of industry and the enhancement of global environmental protection awareness, the market for meltblown nonwovens has become larger and larger. The continuous emergence of new materials, new processes and new products of meltblown nonwovens has also expanded its application fields. It can be seen from the above patent analysis that at present, the main research hotspot of meltblown technology is product development, which is mainly used for filter materials, absorbent materials (water absorption, oil absorption, sound absorption, etc.) and medical materials, as well as relatively few meltblown equipment Ru0026D. In the preparation of meltblown fibers, the preparation of bicomponent meltblown fibers, layered nonwoven fabrics, composite nonwoven fabrics and elastic nonwoven fabrics has been studied. According to reports in the literature, melt blowing technology may have a greater development in spinning molten composites, two-component melt blowing technology, electret melt blowing non-woven fabrics, and melt blowing equipment improvements.
