What are the characteristics of flame-retardant non-woven fabrics? Flame retardant, as the name implies, prevents burning. Flame-retardant cloth refers to cloth that can be automatically extinguished within 2 seconds of leaving the flame even if it is lit by an open flame. According to the order of addition of flame-retardant materials, it is divided into two types: fiber permanent flame-retardant cloth and post-finish flame-retardant cloth. Developed countries in the world put forward flame-retardant requirements for textiles as early as the 1960s, and formulated corresponding flame-retardant standards and fire-fighting regulations. The Ministry of Public Security of our country has formulated the fire protection regulations, which clearly stipulates that the curtains, sofa coverings, carpets, etc. used in public entertainment places must use flame-retardant materials. Therefore, the development and application of flame-retardant non-woven products in my country is imperative. Due to the cost of fiber flame retardant and post-finishing flame retardant, there are more post-finishing flame retardant used in China. There are two main ways for textiles to achieve flame-retardant functionality: First, the flame retardant is added to the fiber through polymer polymerization, blending, copolymerization, composite spinning, and graft modification. It is flame retardant. 2. Use post-finishing methods to coat the flame retardant on the surface of the fabric or penetrate into the interior of the fabric. The flame retardant effect of non-woven fabrics is achieved by adding flame retardants. For flame retardants to be applied to non-woven fabrics, they must meet the following conditions: ①Low toxicity, high efficiency and long-lasting, can make the product meet the requirements of flame retardant standards; ②Good thermal stability, low smoke, and suitable for nonwovens The requirements of the cloth; ③Do not significantly reduce the original performance of the nonwoven fabric; ④The price is low, which is beneficial to reduce the cost. Flame-retardant finishing non-woven fabric: Flame-retardant finishing is to fix the flame retardant on the conventional non-woven fabric through adsorption deposition, chemical bonding, non-polar van der Waals force bonding and adhesion to obtain the flame-retardant effect. Compared with fiber modification, this method has a simpler process and less investment, but it has poorer washing performance and has a certain impact on the appearance and feel of the nonwoven fabric. Flame retardant finishing can be carried out by dipping method and spray method. Flame-retardant non-woven products are mainly used in the following areas. (1) For indoor and cabin decoration, such as curtains, curtains, carpets, seat covers and interior paving materials. (2) Used as bedding, such as mattresses, bedspreads, pillows, cushions, etc. (3) For wall decoration and other flame-retardant sound insulation materials in entertainment venues. There are two commonly used methods for judging the flame-retardant performance of flame-retardant fabrics: Method 1: The flame-retardant fabric after the flame-retardant finishing is in contact with the flame in the specified method, and there is flame burning time and no flame burning within the specified time. The shorter the flame burning time, the lower the degree of damage, indicating that the flame retardant performance of the flame retardant fabric is better. At the same time, if the flame retardant performance is good, there is no harmful substance to the human body and the environment, indicating the quality of the flame retardant fabric. The better; on the contrary, the longer the burning time and the heavier the damage, it means that the flame-retardant performance of the flame-retardant fabric is not good, and the generation of harmful substances indicates that the quality of the flame-retardant fabric is extremely poor. Method 2: Judging by the Polar Oxygen Index (LOI) of the flame-retardant fabric when it burns. In theory, if the oxygen index of the textile material is above 21% (the oxygen concentration in the natural air is 21%), the textile product is self-extinguishing. According to the polar oxygen index, textiles are usually divided into flammable (LOI less than 20%), flammable (LOI equal to 20%-26%), non-flammable (LOI equal to 26%-34%) and non-combustible (LOI> 35%) Four levels. When testing the flame-retardant properties of the above four grades, the polar oxygen index decreases from large to small, and the flame-retardant function decreases, and the flammability increases. We at Youyu have high-quality flame-retardant non-woven fabrics, and you can buy them if you need them. Professional quality inspection reports, please rest assured to buy
