What is PET non-woven fabric? What are the characteristics of PET non-woven fabrics?

Polyester (PET) spunbond filament non-woven fabric is a kind of non-woven fabric, and its raw material is 100% polyester chips. It is made of countless continuous polyester filaments through spunbonding and hot rolling. It is also called PET spunbond filament nonwoven fabric or PES spunbond nonwoven fabric, also called single-component spunbond nonwoven fabric.
Characteristics of PET non-woven fabric
First, water repellency. Polyester (PET) spunbond filament non-woven fabric is a water-repellent non-woven fabric, and the water-repellent properties of the non-woven fabric vary according to the gram size. The larger and thicker the weight, the better the water repellency. If there are water droplets on the surface of the non-woven fabric, the water droplets will slide directly off the surface.
Second, high temperature resistance. Because the melting point of polyester is around 260°C, it can maintain the stability of the non-woven fabric's dimensions in an environment that requires temperature resistance. It has been widely used in heat transfer printing, transmission oil filtration, and some composite materials that require high temperature resistance.
Third, high strength. Polyester (PET) spunbond non-woven fabric is a filament non-woven fabric second only to nylon spunbond non-woven fabric. Its excellent strength, good air permeability, tensile, tear, and aging properties have been used by more and more people in various fields.
Fourth, anti-gamma rays. Polyester (PET) spunbond non-woven fabrics also have a very special physical property: resistance to gamma rays. In other words, if it is applied to medical products, it can be directly sterilized with gamma rays without destroying its physical properties and dimensional stability. This is a physical property that polypropylene (PP) spunbond non-woven fabric does not have.
PET non-woven fabrics have a wide range of applications
①Home textiles: anti-flock lining, heat transfer printing, non-woven calendars, office document hanging bags, curtains, vacuum cleaner bags, disposable garbage bags.
②Packaging: cable wrapping, handbag, container bag, wrapping material, desiccant, adsorbent packaging material.
③Decoration: wall decoration cloth, floor leather base cloth, flocking base cloth.
④Agriculture: agricultural harvest cloth, crop and plant protection, weed protection belt, fruit growing bag, etc.
⑤Waterproof material: base fabric of high-grade breathable (wet) waterproof material.
