Definition of non-woven fabric

The definition of non-woven fabric is unlikely for ordinary people to be familiar with the term non-woven fabric and there is no expert in this area for decades. When the consumer heard the word nonwoven, it reminded him of something, is it like traditional fabrics, some modern, advanced, and hygienic, but he doesn't know any specific types of materials that carry the same name. But now the exact meaning of the word is a bit clearer for experts. According to experts, nonwovens are a kind of textile/sheet-like products, which are unique in the industry, that is, in the negative definition; that is, they are not limited in what they are. Non-woven fabrics are the same as traditional textile fabrics and paper. Is the nonwoven fabric based on yarn and (frequently exceptions) does not contain yarn. They are based on fiber webs of individual fibers. Non-woven fabrics are different than paper in that non-woven fabrics usually consist entirely or at least contain a substantial proportion of long fibers and/or they are intermittently joined along the length of the fibers. Although the paper is made of a fiber web, the fibers are interconnected so that completely, the entire sheet includes one unit. In nonwovens our fibers, where the fibers do not act as rigidly joined fibrous webs, and act as individuals to a large extent [1]. The most commonly used nonwovens are now defined by those defined by the Nonwovens Industry Association (INDA) and the European Consumables and Nonwovens Association (EDANA). 1.1. INDA definition: non-woven materials are sheets, nets, or natural and/or artificial fibers or filaments, excluding paper, and are not converted into yarns, and are bats that are combined with each other by any of several means. The various methods for bonding are: a) bonding the adhesive; b) thermally fusing fibers or filaments to each other or with other fusible fibers or powders. C) The melted fibers pass through the first dissolution and then solidify their surface. D) A physical entanglement or cluster of fibers is created. 5) The place in the spliced u200bu200bfiber or filament. 1.2. EDANA definition: non-woven fabric is a kind of man-made sheet, net or oriented or arbitrarily oriented fibers, bats joined by friction, and/or cohesion and/or adhesion, excluding paper or through weaving, knitted products , The tufting needle combines the bound yarn or filament, or the felt through wet grinding, regardless of whether it has been sewn separately. The fiber can be of natural or artificial origin. They can be short fibers or continuous or formed in situ. 2. Usage Nonwovens Nonwovens have numerous applications ranging from baby diapers to industrial high-performance textiles. In some places, non-woven fabrics are regarded as the main alternative to traditional textile geotextiles, materials of construction, heat and sound insulation materials, health care textiles and important areas of the automotive industry. Non-woven materials can also be used to cover stocks, agriculture, aerospace, furniture, etc. Although it is impossible to list all applications of non-woven fabrics, some important applications are listed in Table 1 [2].
