Non-woven fabric application-fungal insecticide carrier

The research on the formulation of fungal insecticides has been closely watched internationally, and a variety of formulations with different application characteristics have been introduced all over the world. The serialization of the formulations of fungal insecticides helps to control different target pests more effectively. Reasonably processed dosage forms are conducive to the survival and use of fungi. The development of excellent formulations can not only improve the control efficiency, but also greatly improve the economic benefits of fungal pesticide companies. Such as oil products, storage at high temperatures can also extend the life of spores, and spores can also adhere and germinate on the insect body wall under low relative humidity, thus improving the control effect. Due to the good performance of the oil formulation, the Metarhizium anisopliae oil formulation is recommended by the World Food and Agriculture Organization for large-scale control of locusts in countries south of the Sahara Desert in West Africa.   In addition to the oil agent, in the early 1990s, Nitto Denko Japan invented a new formulation of fungal insecticide-Beauveria bassiana non-woven strips. The new formulation uses liquid-solid two-phase fermentation technology, uses non-woven fabric as a carrier, and uses a dip process to make the surface or the whole of the non-woven fabric carry a culture medium, so that entomopathogenic fungi can grow on the non-woven fabric. Eventually, fungal spores spread all over the surface and become a new type of fungal insecticide. In the prevention and control of dry-boring pests such as longhorn beetle, it has shown great application potential. However, our country’s fungal insecticide manufacturers have not paid enough attention to the research and development of formulations, and progress is slow. Generally, they only produce fungal insecticide powder or simple powder, and most of them are not registered. Although the storage and transportation of the original powder are relatively convenient, the spores of the preparation are greatly affected by the environment, are not resistant to storage, and are extremely vulnerable to ultraviolet rays.   Therefore, in recent years, some fungal insecticide companies have begun to focus on the research and development of product formulations, and cooperated with universities or scientific research institutes to produce mixed powders, oils, non-woven bacteria and other formulations. The 7 products registered so far involve powders, oils and non-woven bacteria preparations. Nevertheless, there is still a big gap between the research level of multiple formulations and foreign countries, which is mainly reflected in the short shelf life of the formulation products and poor physical and chemical properties. Therefore, we still have a fungal pesticide formulation. It is necessary to increase research efforts to improve the types and quality of formulations of fungal insecticides in my country.
