Non-woven fabric revenue increased by 23%

Nonwovens producer Nanliu Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Nanliu) said yesterday that the higher utilization rate at its Zhejiang factory in China this year could lead to a 23% revenue increase from NT$4.57 billion (US$152 million) last year recorded. 'Because of a series of capacity expansions in the second half of last year, our revenue will reach a higher level this year,' Zhuang Junqin (Zhuang Chunjin), the company's financial manager in Kaohsiung, said by phone. 'Our new capacity utilization rate will be at its highest second quarter,' she said. Liu Nan reported yesterday that the record revenue of NT$47,103 million increased by 9.35% from the previous month, from NT$4,307,400,000 a month ago from NT$387,290,000 a year ago to 21.62%, according to its submission to the Taiwan Stock Exchange for listing. Last quarter, the company announced a record revenue of NT$13 billion, an increase of 16.07% from NT$1.12 billion a quarter ago, and an increase of 27.45% from NT$1.02 billion in the same period last year, according to the filing. The company stated that its goal is to maintain its monthly revenue throughout the year, which translates into an annual revenue of NT$5.65 billion this year, an increase of 23.63% from the same period last year. In the first three quarters, last year, the company recorded a profit of NT$263.8 million, or NT per share of 3.75, a year-on-year increase of 94.57%, from NT$1.3558 million, or NT per share of HK$2.22, in 2012.
