Non-woven fabric used in agricultural pest control

Non-woven fabrics are light in weight, soft, easy to shape, not afraid of corrosion, not afraid of moths, good ventilation, and degradable. Non-woven fabric is another new type of covering material promoted and applied in vegetable production after plastic film, and it is hailed as the second 'white revolution' in the world.


Applied to vegetable production, it can regulate humidity, shading, cold, frost, frost, light, air, etc.


In many countries, non-woven covering vegetables has become a conventional technology, and the advantages of crop yield, quality and disease resistance after covering are very obvious. The application of non-woven fabrics on vegetables in my country is still in its infancy . Since the summer of 2006, the Shanhaiguan District Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau has carried out an exploratory experiment in the application of non-woven fabrics as insect-proof nets in the Yezhisheng vegetable field in Central Village of Yiguan Town. After a series of repeated tests, good results have been achieved, and a variety of non-woven fabrics suitable for vegetable insect-proof nets have been selected. Experiments show that the use of non-woven fabrics as insect-proof nets can effectively control many kinds of pests such as Liriomyza sativae, whitefly, and aphids, basically without pesticides. At the same time, most of the rain outside can drip into the shed, ensuring the water demand for vegetable growth. The application of this technology can reduce the cost by about 50% compared with conventional insect-proof nets, and also reduces environmental pollution. As a brand-new pollution-free vegetable insect-proof technology, it has broad prospects for promotion.
