Non-woven fiber identification method-chemical dissolution method
When the sample to be identified is yarn or fabric, it is necessary to extract the warp and weft yarns from the fabric, and then separate the yarns into single non-woven fibers. In order to quickly and effectively identify the type of non-woven fiber, you can first observe it with a microscope, and then use the combustion method to retest. The system identification method is required.
For single-component non-woven fabric fibers, a small amount of non-woven fabric fibers to be identified can be put into a test tube, select and inject a certain solvent, stir with a glass rod, and observe the non-woven fabric fibers in the solution. Dissolution conditions, such as: dissolved, slightly dissolved, partially dissolved and insoluble, etc. If it is a mixed component of non-woven fiber or the amount of non-woven fiber is very small, you can put a concave glass slide on the microscope stage, and then put the sample on the concave surface, drip the solvent, and cover it. The cover glass is directly observed in the microscope, and the type of non-woven fiber is distinguished according to different dissolution conditions.
Because the concentration of the solvent and the heating temperature are different, the dissolving performance of the non-woven fiber is different. Therefore, when using the dissolution method to identify the non-woven fiber, the concentration of the solvent and the heating temperature should be strictly controlled, and attention should also be paid The dissolution rate of the non-woven fiber in the solvent.
