Air permeability or barrier is the basic function of medical and health products. The air permeability or barrier properties of SMS products mainly depend on the air permeability or hydrostatic pressure of the M-layer products. Therefore, the main factors affecting the air permeability or barrier properties are the size and uniformity of the M-layer products and the quantification of the M-layer web.


The S layer mainly protects and strengthens the M layer to prevent the M layer from being worn out under the action of external force, and the structure is deformed or damaged. Of course, the better the uniformity of the S layer and the smaller the fineness, the more obvious it will support and protect the M layer, which will have a better effect on improving the hydrostatic pressure of SMS products.


In SMS composite products, the greater the specific gravity of the M layer, the greater the quantitative or the greater the number of layers, the better the hydrostatic pressure or blocking performance. The M layer of the same proportion or quantitative, the finer the fineness, The better the uniformity or the larger the quantitative S layer, the better the hydrostatic pressure or barrier performance.
