The actual use of masterbatch in the latest SMMMS non-woven fabric industry (free technical guidance sharing)

1. The growth of SMMMS non-woven fabrics exceeds 30% this year. With social progress and development, China's economy continues to grow. Some new, simple and high-efficiency materials are constantly being used in various fields, and they have been further developed and expanded to make them more effective, convenient and fully applicable to social development. China's chemical fiber products are developing rapidly. In recent years, whether it is the chemical fiber industry or the non-woven fabric industry, China is currently the world's largest producer. Output accounts for 30% to 45% of total world output. And such a high output is bound to use a lot of masterbatch. 2. Selection of masterbatch pigments suitable for SMMMS. At this stage, more than 95% of SMMMS non-woven fabrics used in the production of sanitary materials and a package of materials are made of polypropylene (PP) as the base material. So what kind of pigment to choose as masterbatch is very important. In the production of SMMMS non-woven fabrics, the spinning temperature is between 220°C and 250°C, so the pigment must be high temperature resistant, and the temperature resistance of the pigment must be higher than this temperature. 3. Production and testing of SMMMS masterbatch From the perspective of pigment dispersion theory, when the pigment is processed to produce masterbatch, the pigment must first be wetted and subjected to a series of complex procedures such as surface coating treatment. But now with pre-dispersed pigments, there is no need for a high-speed mixer for high-speed mixing and wetting, and there is no dust and other flying objects, just a simple mixer. For example, according to the requirements, mix 100 kg of pre-dispersed pigments and 50 kg of pp material, pour it into the mixer, and after mixing evenly, directly feed the material to the twin screw for extrusion granulation. For the production of masterbatch for spunbond single die head, Shanghai Secco S2040PP material has a melt index of about 38g/10min, and the produced masterbatch has a melt index of 60, 80 Omin. ExxonMobil PP3546G and PP6936 high melting index special materials are used for the production of meltblown masterbatch. The melt index is between 1200~1500g/min, and the melt index of the produced meltblown masterbatch is between 1500~1700g/min. The melt index of masterbatch used for spunbond and M meltblown is quite different, so customers must be careful not to mix them. However, due to the large difference between spunbond and M meltblown fabrics in non-woven fabrics, the filament denier is generally about 2 deniers for spunbond fabrics, and about 0.2 deniers for meltblown fabrics. The addition amount of masterbatch is also different. Generally, spunbond is between 0.5% and 2.0%, and when the monofilament fineness of meltblown cloth is less than 0.2 denier, the addition amount of masterbatch is between 3% and 8%. 4. Environmental protection and testing Because sanitary materials and medical insurance materials have high requirements for environmental protection, any toxic and harmful substances in the products must not exceed the standard. Must meet ROHS and FDA requirements. We first ask the customer to provide a safety and environmental protection report, and then after the masterbatch is produced, we send the masterbatch for testing, and send it to the customer after it is qualified. Testing method: We take samples every 3 hours to check the melt index and filter pressure value of the masterbatch, and measure the hue and tinting strength, moisture content of the non-woven fabric. In order to ensure the dispersion of the color masterbatch, we adopt the international standard BS EN13900-5 test. 5. Precautions for using smmms masterbatch Since spunbond and meltblown masterbatch have a large difference in melting index, do not mix them and cause accidents when using them. The pigments used in spunbond and meltblown masterbatches must be the same variety and the same grade to avoid color difference. As non-woven fabric manufacturers require different cost of masterbatch, the quality of masterbatch will also be different. For example, the heat resistance, light resistance, and friction resistance of pigments mentioned above are all related to the cost of masterbatch. It is hoped that non-woven fabric factories will use more high-grade masterbatch to reduce losses and troubles and improve product quality. Conclusion: The development of chemical fiber non-woven fabric is faster and faster, the denier of the fiber is getting finer and thinner, and the requirements are getting higher and higher. How to grind the pigment (dye) to achieve the dispersion requirement is the key. In addition, environmental protection and low carbon have become an important factor for future development. The compound can achieve the goals pursued by our oyster industry and non-woven fabric enterprises in both environmental protection and low carbon. I hope that we will develop together, solve environmental and low-carbon issues, and jointly create a blue sky and a pure land.
