The first Asia Pacific Nonwovens Industry Forum was held

On October 22, the first Asia Pacific Nonwovens Forum co-organized by RISI and WTiN was held in Shanghai. More than 150 industry representatives from 18 countries and regions attended the meeting. Li Lingshen, President of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association, and David E. Rousse, President of the American Nonwovens Association, delivered speeches as representatives of the supporting units of this meeting. China is the world’s largest producer, exporter and consumer market of non-woven fabrics. The non-woven fabric industry has experienced rapid development in the past ten years, and has made great progress in technology, products, and markets. The influence in the industry is also increasing. The topics of this conference centered on non-woven hygiene products, exchanged views on the current situation and development trend of the Chinese market, new technologies and new products, and discussed the future development opportunities of non-woven fabrics in the Chinese market.　　According to a survey conducted by the world-renowned market research company AC Nielsen, Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu have become the cities with the strongest growth in the domestic market for sanitary non-woven products. Among them, wet wipes, baby diapers, facial masks, sanitary napkins and other products have grown rapidly. Maternal and child products stores, e-commerce, cosmetic stores, and catering channels have become the most important consumption and circulation methods. The forum also looked forward to China's current non-woven fabric market and global consumer demand and development for diapers, and exchanged views on the latest technology research and development of super absorbent resin (SAP).
