The principle of non-woven fabric production
1. Cotton is mainly carded into a net
Similar to the carding principle in spinning, the differences in carding into a net are as follows
(1) The non-woven carding process produces the arrangement and orientation of fibers in the fiber web, which requires 'messy technology' and 'cohesion technology' to achieve the isotropic properties of non-woven materials
(2) The fiber web of non-woven material has a higher unit area density (g/m2) and thickness (mm), so some of the fiber webs from the carding machine need to be laid and overlapped.
The principle of carding into a net
Carding is the key process of web forming. The opened, mixed and prepared small cotton bundles are carded into a thin web composed of single fibers, which can be laid into a web, or directly reinforced, or air-laid to weave fibers Randomly arranged webs.
The equipment used for carding can be either a 'roller type' carding machine or a 'flat plate type' carding machine.
The fibers in the fiber web directly output by the carding machine doffer are arranged in parallel longitudinally and have good orientation; the fibers are arranged in two dimensions after 'message roll
The fibers are arranged three-dimensionally after air-laid, with good non-directionality.
2. The main reinforcement methods are acupuncture and spunlace
(1) The principle of acupuncture reinforcement technology
Use triangular cross-section (or other cross-section) edges with barbed thorns to repeatedly puncture the fiber web. When the barbs pass through the web, they force the surface and local inner fibers of the web to penetrate into the interior of the web. Due to the friction between the fibers, the original fluffy web is compressed. When needle punching pushes out the web, the pierced fiber bundles leave the barb surface and remain in the web. In this way, many fiber bundles entangle the web so that it can no longer return to its original fluffy state. After many times of needle punching, a considerable number of fiber bundles are pierced into the fiber web to form a 'three-dimensional structure
(2) The principle of spunlace reinforcement technology
The principle of spunlace reinforcement of the web is similar to that of acupuncture, but instead of acupuncture, multiple fine water jets generated by high pressure are used to spray the web. After the water jet passes through the fiber web, it is entrusted to hold the bounce of the curtain and intersect the fiber web again. As a result, the fibers in the fiber web are displaced, interspersed, entangled and entangled under the hydraulic action of the high-speed water jets in different directions. The web is reinforced.
3. Spunbond method
The traditional weaving process: clearing → carding → drawing → roving → spinning → winding → warping → sizing → reed → weaving → cloth
Ordinary non-woven process: fiber raw material→netting→reinforcement→non-woven material
The non-woven process using chemical fibers as raw materials can also be shrunk again, namely: polymer→netting→reinforcement→non-woven material, which is spunlaid process and melt blown process non-woven technology .
In the reinforcement technology of high polymer, in addition to the traditional needling method and spunlace method, there is another method called hot rolling.
